The Park doesn’t have a missions department. We tell people all the time that they are the missions department.
There are 4 key environments where the Park community is expressing the work of God in and through the people of God. These are Worship Service, Family Ministry, Community Groups, and School of Theology.
But there is actually a 5th Environment. This is the one that you write.
We believe Christ has called all of us to be the church in the areas that He has placed us. We affirm the priesthood of all believers and intentionally push our community to discover it in themselves and others. Christ came and has called us into a new life…a life that is on mission with Him. This is the Missional Life. This life may never take you overseas on a mission trip. Or you may go into cross-cultural ministry full-time. Where God takes you is up to Him. Living Missional Lives in all situations is the point and focus of every believer.
We would like to invite you to wrestle with a couple of questions:
- What story is God writing in and through you?
- What would happen if other people knew that story?
- What does a gospel-centered life look like in the place that God has you today?
The Missional Life is focused uniquely on the Person of Jesus Christ. He has His followers on a mission. What does that look like for you today?
