The Church:
- Is people, not programs or buildings (1 Peter 2:1-12)
- Is uniquely made different from one another by God (Romans 12:4-8)
- Ought to love others as much as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:39)
- Has been saved by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:4-10)
- Lives in close community with other believers (Acts 4:32-37)
- Is guided by the Spirit of God (Romans 5:5)
God is:
- Creator (Genesis 1)
- Both gracious and just (2 Thessalonians 1:5-7)
- Sovereign (Acts 4:24)
- Bringing glory to His name through all creation {book of Isaiah)
Christ:
- Is literally God in flesh (John 1:1-14)
- Is both Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-13)
- Will personally come back to earth (2 Thessalonians 1:7)
- Is the only way to the Father (John 14:6)
- Died to bring reconciliation (Ephesians 2:13-18; Colossians 1:20)
Scripture is:
- God breathed (2 Timothy 3:16)
- The standard by which believers are called to live (2 Timothy 3:16-4:2)
