Good morning!
What posture do you take when you come into the presence of God? Is it one of confidence, or one of shame, and how does our abiding in Christ impact our posture towards God?
As you continually abide in Christ you begin to learn more about the character of God- of His perfect, steadfast love for His children. John even says that the love of God is so great, that not only are we called the children of God, but such we are (1 John 3:1). This is a truth that, unless we are continually in the presence of God, and experiencing His grace, love, and mercy, we will never truly know the depths of His love for us. And, if we do not know the depths of His love for us, then when we fall short and sin, the only way that we know how to stand in the presence of God is with our heads bowed in shame, fearing that He might withdraw His love from us if He finds our failures. However, if we truly know our identity in God, as children of God, then it changes our posture in His presence:
“Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.” 1 John 2:28

There is a lot going on around the Park these days and we want to make sure you don’t miss a beat. Check out the following events and opportunities to serve:

DON’T FORGET: We have moved to Eisenhower Middle School. Same time (10AM), new school (8231 Blanco Rd, San Antonio, TX 78216)

Starting Point on 9.22.13: What is Starting Point? We do this meeting once a month and it is designed to be a time where you get to find out more about the Park; it’s history, vision, values, etc. It is also a time where you can come with questions and we hope to provide clarity. Most questions get answered through the material that we cover, but not always. So, whether you are new or have been coming for a while, Starting Point is your next step in getting connected and I want to encourage you to join us right after service on Sunday, September 22nd. Questions? Email Chris

Join or Start a Community Group: Community Groups at the Park track with the Sunday sermons. Since community is a core value of the Park, we encourage everyone to get into a Community Group. Also, we are always praying for new groups to start. If you are looking for community, sometimes the best avenue to take is to be the one who initiates it by opening up your home and seeing what God will do. If you are interested in starting a new group, please email Chris at the link below. You can find a current list of groups HERE.
If you have questions, contact Chris.
